Manning Motor Company, owned by Robert Ehlers, Lynn Stein and Lee Stein, has been selling and servicing cars in the area since 1934. The company occupied various locations on Main Street until 1948 when, at that time, a brick building was constructed at 503 Main Street and the business expanded from there. In 1984 the company added the Buick franchise and purchased the building at 419 Main Street to be used as a new vehicle showroom and warehouse. In 2001 the company added a used car display lot and detail facility on Highway 141, three blocks east of the main office.
